Go LB!

1. Membership - You may join Go LB! if you are:

• a UPLB student/alumnus/instructor/professor
• a former UPLB student/instructor/professor
• someone who does/did not study/teach in UPLB, but you love UPLB anyway
• joining as an individual and not as a representation of a group

You are not required to have an account at yUPieLBi.org. If you do have an account in yUPieLBi.org, you are not required to use the same user name, but it would be nice if you will.

Go LB! reserves the right to deny membership to those who do not comply with the requirements mentioned above.

2. Registration - You can register here. You will receive an activation email after registration so please provide a valid email address. After activating your account, you will have the status of Contributor, which will allow you to login, post comments on entries, write entries in the Write Post page, and save it to the entries queue.

Contributors with at least 15 published entries will be eligible to be promoted to an Author status, which will let them write and publish entries without Editor approval.

3. Posting Entries - Here are the steps in posting entries:

For Contributors:

• Log in. You will then be redirected to your administration page.
• Click “Write”. Supply the title for your entry, and then the entry itself.
• You can use all text formatting options available on the entry editor.
• You can include an image in your entry, but only one image is allowed per entry. The maximum allowed width of your image is 380px.
• When you’re already satisfied with your entry, tick the appropriate category/categories for it.
• Click “Save”. Your entry will go to the entries queue and will be reviewed by the Editors for publication.
• While your entry is still not published, you can make modifications to it by logging in, clicking “Manage”, and selecting your entry from the “Your Drafts” list under the “Posts” tab.

For Authors:

• Do the first 5 steps for Contributors mentioned above.
• If you just want to save your entry for future publication, click “Save”. Your entry will be available under “Manage” > “Posts” > “Your Drafts”. After selecting your saved entry, you can make changes to it or you can immediately publish it.
• If you want to publish your post, click “Publish” in the “Write Post” page. Your entry will then be published immediately on the blog.

4. Type of Entries - You can submit essays, poems, movie reviews, or whatever creative stuff you can come up with using words (and an image). You can include one image in your entry (380px max width), but don’t submit an entry containing only an image. An entry should have at least one paragraph in it.

5. Some Guidelines

• Check your entry for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization before saving/publishing it. Entries written purely in small or all caps will be discarded.
• Not all submissions are guaranteed to be published.
• It may take a while before your submissions can be reviewed and published, so please be patient.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do. Not. Plagiarize. Speaking of IPR, your submitted/published works will remain your property.
• Please submit your entries under the most appropriate category/categories.
• This is not an ordinary blog, so please don’t make Go LB! your personal diary.
• Do not change the date stamp on your entries.
• Do not password-protect your entries.
• Entries that contain defamatory, obscene, racist, threatening and hateful messages will not be published. The owner of such entries will have his/her account banned or suspended. Profanities are allowed, but discouraged.
• These guidelines may change from time to time, so please check it once in a while. The administrator will also inform all users of any changes to the blog or to the rules and instructions.
